Registered Nurse - Palliative Care at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Wairarapa, Wairarapa

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The Wairarapa DHB is looking for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team.  The Community Nursing team provides nursing care, advice and support to patients and their whanau across various healthcare settings.  Working predominantly in the area of palliative care you will have the opportunity to train and work within the district nursing team as well.  The primary focus of this role is to assess, plan, co-ordinate, provide and evaluate quality palliative nursing care to patients in the community.

We have one position available, working 40 hours per fortnight, (covering Monday to Sunday) rostered and rotating shifts. You will also be required to participate in the after hours on-call roster.

There is a requirement to work across the whole of the Wairarapa.  You will need to have a flexible approach to how your hours are worked as these may vary each week.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' postgraduate experience, preferably in a Community setting.  A Postgraduate qualification within this area is desirable but not essential.

You will have a current annual practicing certificate and, as we visit patients out in the community, a clean full driver's license is essential.
