Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Duty Nurse Team, a permanent pool of nurses providing nursing cover in a variety of clinical settings.

This role will work within Wairarapa Hospital to provide nursing relief cover as directed by the Duty Nurse Manager to various units of Hospital Services (primarily Acute Services, Medical Surgical Ward, Assessment & Rehabilitation and Paediatrics) as required. This may involve working in more than one area within a shift.

We have permanent full or part time roles available working rostered and rotating shifts.

Moū - About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Applications will be considered from Registered Nurses who have proven clinical skills in nursing with at least 2 years post grad experience in acute medicine, surgery or paediatric setting.
  • Critical Care experience would be an advantage. Orientation to each of the areas will be provided as required.
  • If you are a nurse that likes variety in placement and the challenge of adapting quickly and easily to different clinical areas then this is the job for you.
