Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) New Grad at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Wairarapa, Wairarapa

 Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a New Graduate MIT to join our Imaging Service and we are willing to work with the candidate to ensure a role that will fit their needs and lifestyle.

Your responsibilities will include working in all general areas of the department including, general Radiology, CT and Fluoroscopy and performing examinations in special care areas such as HDU, Theatre, Emergency and general wards.

There is also a requirement to be available for the after-hours on call roster (once orientated including CT training). Actual days and hours of work will be discussed further at interview.

The Imaging Department uses the Carestream PACS/RIS system:

  • Fluoroscopy
  • Ultrasonography
  • General radiography
  • CT

Moū - About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.

Experience in CT preferable however applications will also be accepted from individuals willing to train in CT.
