Mō te tūnga | About the role

We have a unique leadership opportunity for a Manager to join our Legal Services Group and lead our Prosecution Support Team.  This team of dedicated advisers and senior adviser are responsible for providing independent case management for people in our care when an individual is charged with a breach of probation conditions and pleads not guilty.

The Manager plays a pivotal role in leading, coaching and training the team in the preparation and presentation of prosecution files and advice, ensuring the preliminary preparation work is professional, timely and meets all evidential and statutory requirements.  The role requires a proactive and independent leader who will take ownership of the teams' programme of work and who is committed to providing engaging and supportive management to a largely remote-based team of professionals.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we embark on a journey of transformation in line with our new and bold organisational strategy Hōkai Rangi: one that builds on the good things that are already happening, learns from doing, and, most importantly, innovates to find new and alternative ways of doing things to achieve better outcomes with Māori and their whānau.
