We have an exciting opportunity for an Adviser to join our Legal Services Group and become a key member of our Prosecution Support Team. This team of dedicated professionals is responsible for providing independent case management for people in our care when an individual is charged with a breach of probation conditions and pleads not guilty.
Mōu | About you
As Adviser Prosecution Support you'll work closely with the Manager PST to advance cases through Court ensuring that meaningful prosecutions are advanced in compliance with relevant legislation. Communication is key as this requires liaison with frontline Corrections staff along with Courts, Defence Counsel, Crown Solicitors, Legal Aid and the Judiciary
There is an emphasis on relationship management and you will be accountable for building and maintaining strong internal working relationships with Probation Officers, Court officers, Service Managers and District Managers within Corrections Services and ensure a collaborative approach to proceedings by providing advice and support on prosecution matters and case progression.

We are eager to hear from experienced candidates with a background in a busy and fast paced environment. Specifically, we will be assessing your application for evidence of the following skills, knowledge and experience required for this role:
- Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, exercising judgement, and promoting the “right way to do things”.
- Strong relationship management and personal communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and experience in IOMs is preferable but not essential
The salary range for this role is $75,829 - $107,052. Appointments are based on skills and experience relevant to the role.
