Mō te tūnga | About the role
Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) provides a range of services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery regardless of external events and crises.
Within the Digital team, we're currently looking for a Senior Security Analyst IT Security & Assurance. In this role you will be responsible for the ongoing protection of the Department's corporate networks and systems. You will provide input and guidance on a range of projects and assist with operational matters that require security input and/or oversight. You will also manage issues with internal and external stakeholders including having discussions around security issues with Department managers as required.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the wider team to achieve an environment of continuous improvement with high levels of professionalism and responsiveness.
In addition, you will bring a solid understanding of the following security controls:
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Virtualization technologies
- Database technologies such Oracle and MS SQL
- Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention
- Application security and encryption technologies
- Cloud technologies.
You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
