Screening and Enquiries Analyst at NZ Commerce Commission, Wellington

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We are looking for Screening and Enquiries Analysts in our Competition and Fair Trading branch. We welcome applications from candidates interested in fixed-term or permanent roles, whether full-time or part-time, for these Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office-based positions.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

Our Screening and Enquiries Analyst roles would suit someone who wants to grow or consolidate their analytical skills, who is interested in working in a public sector regulatory environment, or a current law/business/economics student who is keen to kick-start a career in the public sector.

Working in our Screening & Enquires team, you will assess complaints received by the Commission against Fair Trading and Competition laws. You will gather and assess facts, identify potential breaches of law, and provide clear, accurate written recommendations. Your work will directly impact on the Commission's regulatory and compliance role.

If you are someone who would like to develop a strong understanding of how a regulatory environment works and an understanding of the multiple avenues this skillset can be applied, then this is a great opportunity for you.

The indicative salary range for the Analyst role is $75,139 - $88,399 plus 3.5% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a starting salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.
