About the Role
The primary purpose of the Director Organisational Performance, Central Region is to ensure the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) for the Central Region meets performance expectations by fostering leadership, accountability, and collaboration across the Central Region Leadership team.
You will be a trusted advisor to the Deputy Chief Executive and will take the lead role in developing and implementing the governance mechanisms needed to drive organisational performance, ensure high standards of healthcare delivery and meeting back to budget savings targets.

You are a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in organisational performance and strategic leadership within the public and health sectors.
You excel in fostering relationships, navigating complex environments, and driving innovative solutions. Your leadership inspires collaboration and a shared purpose, ensuring high performance across diverse teams.
You will bring expertise in governance, accountability frameworks, and strategic thinking, paired with a passion for equity, cultural responsiveness, and healthcare excellence.

Experience and Expertise:
- Over 10 years of experience in monitoring and improving organisational performance within the health sector or public sector.
- Proven success in managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in governance, accountability frameworks, and strategic future-focused planning.
Skills:
- Ability to anticipate challenges and trends, driving proactive and innovative solutions.
- Politically savvy with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging at the political interface.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of precision in high-pressure environments.
- Advanced leadership skills, fostering collaboration, equity, and innovation.
Cultural Competence:
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity, with an understanding of how to apply its principles meaningfully.
