About the Role
We have the opportunity available to join our Business Services team as a Governance and Reporting Lead in a permanent, full-time role.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead a small team responsible for managing the business support, governance and reporting processes for the NPHS. This includes leading the risks and issues reporting, health, safety and wellbeing programme, managing decision papers for the NPHS Leadership Team, and developing ongoing business processes and guidance.
Your expertise will be drawn upon by different parts of the National Public Health Service including the senior leadership team, so you will be someone that can work at pace and collaboratively with senior leaders.

We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
You'll be able to work collaboratively across the NPHS and organisational boundaries. You come with strong business support, governance advisory and reporting experience. You understand and have the ability to adapt and use a range of frameworks, principles, tools and methods to effectively support decision-makers.
Skills and Experience
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- Extensive experience supporting senior leaders and governance groups
- 15+ years governance (technical support) experience and 5+ years management experience
- Strong written and oral communication, ability to write good quality papers for decision-makers
- Experience in managing business support functions and processes
- Experience developing and implementing consistent group-wide processes, procedures, tools, and templates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
