About the Role
HR Advisors are expected to provide People and Culture advice and service for HSS. They also take an interest for in a particular field of expertise where required. These roles play an active part in both the People and Culture team and relevant operational management team, building credibility by contributing to strategic and operational management as well as being the HR Advisor for the directorate or area.
HR Advisors need to be professional and collaborative team members; working closely with other staff to facilitate and lead effective implementation of people related projects, policies and processes. HR Advisors also provide input to development of People and Culture policy and practice, provide effective change management advice and support and actively work towards development and implementation of the People and Culture strategic priorities and projects.
HR Advisors are expected to apply the values of the organisation in everything they do; being role models for People and Culture as a professional and customer focussed service. They also need to be expert in the application of employment principles including those of good faith and the good employer.
A key part of your role is coaching and advising managers and staff in a way that builds People and Culture capability across the organisation.
The role is responsible for contributing to People and Culture and organisational projects, ensuring services, practice and advice provided is accurate, high quality and aligned with the direction set for People and Culture services across the district.
The People and Culture team as a whole needs to be flexible, adaptable and operate as a team so sometimes the HR Advisors may undertake work in other areas to assist
