Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As a full-time Senior DataOps Engineer you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the Data Warehouse services for the cloud data pipelines, technologies, platforms and tools.
In this role you will be part of a rostered team, that ensures Data Pipeline support over the hours of 7am to 7pm, with a flexible roster of start and finish times.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Enabling our customers to access and use the National Collections Snowflake data warehouse solution in the most efficient way.
- Provide support, training and advice on BIDW solutions to Te Whatu Ora and its clients – ensuring that strategies, policies and solutions are aligned to professional standards and best practice.
- Enable and support improvement to the current systems and processes by looking for and implementing innovative and practical solutions
Additionally, you will share accountability for leading, supporting and advising health and disability sector transformation through the use of data, digital services and technology.
Mōu | About you
As someone who has worked with Data Warehouse solutions for a minimum of 5 years you will be familiar with supporting new technology projects and be engaged in the initial set up of new cloud tools. You will be able to provide support and guidance to our incident support liaison, working collaboratively with our technical partners to resolve any incidents in the most efficient way.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience:
- Experience with Cloud data warehouse technologies, using Snowflake or similar Cloud based data warehouse tools
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex issues and information and present clearly to enable effective decisions
- Experience in performing root cause analysis to answer specific technical and business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- An understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
