Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Take up this opportunity to lead the National Office Services team and contribute to maintaining a positive working environment for our staff. Your mahi will ensure the efficient and effective running of the national offices, and you will be responsible for a small team of direct reports.

This is a great leadership opportunity, where you will recruit, select, induct, train and support office services staff and coach and support your team.  Day-to-day, the focus will be on maintaining office systems, policies, processes, and procedures as well as making improvements and building relationships.

This is a Wellington based role

Mōu | About you

You are a solution-focused and practical Office Services Manager with some solid experience under your belt. Your career has seen you in roles where you've had to take strong personal responsibility for driving delivery.

You can keep a calm head during times of stress, make good decisions and handle sensitive situations in an empathetic and professional manner. Familiarity with ambiguous environments mean that you can confidently lead during times of change and transition.

(Note: Executive Assistant or Team/Business Support professionals will be considered where the candidate also has some past leadership experience.)

This role requires and/or would benefit from the following;

  • An understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role and to policy
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, taking responsibility for your role
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Previous experience in an Office Services or related role
