Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As a member of the Payments and Purchasing team, this role has shared accountability for ensuring strong effective relationships and providing leadership and support to ensure Te Whatu Ora localities deliver on and are accountable for their operational, capital and financial performance. We also deliver major health infrastructure projects for the Crown; process payments and administer contracts for health care services.
The role of a Payments Officer is to provide efficient processing of payment transactions and monitoring of data, financial systems, payments, and eligibility information. This would also include managing the, data collection and processing of payments, and managing the eligibility and documentation associated with these payments. The role will require ongoing accurate and up-to-date computer and paper-based documentation coupled with quality and consistent customer service to all customers.

The Ideal person would need to have:
- Experience working with claims and payments systems and accounts payable
- Data entry and data management skills
- Customer service experience
- Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to remain composed and focused under pressure
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to show flexibility and be adaptable in a fast paced environment, with the willingness to accept new challenges.
