Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The new national Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) senior leadership team is being established within Te Whatu Ora. This leadership group will support the development and implementation of Te Whatu Ora's P&SC operating model which is Nationally-led, and Delivered Nationally, Regionally and Locally.
Join our Procurement & Supply Chain team in the key role of National ICT Procurement Manager. This is an opportunity to develop category management capability whilst collaborating with Supply Chain, Clinical Product Management, and stakeholders, to deliver health outcomes and financial targets.
The role is responsible for leading one of the 4 ICT procurement work streams and ensuring the outcomes and efficiencies laid out in a National P&SC Plan and P&SC Strategy are delivered on effectively through a distributed procurement model that will continually identify opportunities for procurement activities to add value. Close relationships with these areas, and within the Procurement & Supply Chain function will be key to success in this role.
Mōu | About you
As an experienced ICT Procurement professional who has a history of developing and managing a strategic procurement plan, performance delivery, and people leadership. Your career to date has seen you working effectively with complex stakeholders and planning networks that will support growth and development, fosters innovation, and encourages continuous improvement. You'll be an adept communicator who is able to engage with customers and stakeholders inside and outside Te Whatu Ora , sharing best practices, developing capability and consulting stakeholders to support transformational change.
Confident leading in an ambiguous and shifting environment, you feel comfortable taking on this senior role in an organisation of Te Whatu Ora's scale.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
You will have:
- 10 years' senior management and leadership experience in strategic procurement or supply chain.
- In depth knowledge of end-to-end procurement practice.
- Demonstrable record of building and developing teams into a high-performance customer focused, strategic delivery, function.
- Excellent management, coaching and leadership skills with a passion for developing high performing teams and developing individuals to achieve their full potential.
- Highly developed commercial skills that enable significant contributions to be made to the wider business agenda.
- Expert ability to effectively work strategically whilst simultaneously maintaining a focus on detail.
