Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We're looking for a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our team for a year, to cover parental leave. Over this time you'll design learning experiences that are intuitive, inclusive, and practical — ensuring that learning is easy to access, easy to understand, and valuable for people in their day‑to‑day work. You'll work closely with subject‑matter experts, stakeholders, and learners to turn complex information into clear and compelling learning products that work seamlessly in our LMS environment.
He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with a strong background in instructional design methodologies, proficiency in the Articulate suite, and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferably Totara.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design engaging and effective learning materials using instructional design methodologies to support and grow capability in our frontline teams.
- Create interactive e-learning modules using the Articulate suite.
- Manage, maintain, and administer our content, users, and reporting within our LMS.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Evaluate and improve existing learning programs based on feedback and performance data.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
We Need People Who Are
- Proven in instructional design and e-learning development, with experience in operational environments like a call centre.
- Proficient in the Articulate suite (Storyline, Rise, etc.).
- Experienced in applying instructional design to both face-to-face and online learning.
- Skilled users of LMS, preferably Totara, with the ability to support, troubleshoot, identify and implement improvements to LMS functionality.
The annual full-time salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 depending on skills and experience.
