We tackle the hottest issues that impact on the environment, supporting New Zealand's prosperity – economic, social and cultural, without compromising our environment for future generations.

The Ministry's goal to make Aotearoa New Zealand the most liveable place in the world is a considerable responsibility and one we take seriously.

The role (Wellington location)

You will work across all the projects within the Essential Freshwater Programme. You need to be comfortable pulling together many moving parts in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be highly organised and able to build great relationships and be comfortable working with senior stakeholders. You will have a quick, analytical mind and possess lots of common sense.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including co-ordination of stakeholder groups
  • Experience in organising and running advisory groups or other boards/committees
