We are running a transformation programme to implement our Digital Strategy. This role contributes to the digital transformation through the provision of high quality information, analysis and advice.   

The Business Analyst role is at the heart of this, along with your inherent of communication skills, collaborative attitude and business focus. 

The role and the nature of the work requires a good team player.  Projects can have a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity around deliverables and timeframes – application of just enough planning and controls will enable project teams to quickly adapt as certainty improves.

We are looking for candidates with experience in empowering, inspiring, being visible and accessible to teams.  You will be open to having ideas challenged, and drive a culture of continuous improvement where learning and development is valued.  

Our ideal candidate will bring: 

  • strong relationship management skills
  • experience of business process implementation and continuous improvement
  • ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve targets and meet objectives
  • possess or willing to obtain relevant qualification (CCBA, CBAP, PRINCE2)
  • strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • experience of working in agile teams using (e.g. KANBAN and SCRUM)
  • ability to agree effective acceptance criteria in collaboration with clients
  • ability to facilitate project refinement sessions
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • an understanding of the machinery of government
  • commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in te ao Māori.

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range

Salary range for this role is $83,533 to 102,096pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
