Ngā Aramahi me te Hoahoa Haumi: Careers & Investment Design Directorate
The Careers & Investment Design Directorate (CIDD) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.
All teams in the directorate are focused on work that develops, leads or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives and policies. They are responsible for developing the interventions and plans off those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve. The basis of our work is the horizontal work model and so the CIDD teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates so the design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.
He angitūtanga: About the Role
The purpose of this role is to own and execute the product roadmap for Tahatū once it transitions into core business, as well as careers.govt.nz, and any other careers-related products that are initiated as part of the National Careers System Strategy.
The Product Manager is responsible for identifying and recommending changes or enhancements to the product suite, which will be approved by the Business Owner or governance groups, aligned with the priorities of the organisation.
- Own and execute the detailed vision for Tahatū post project, careers.govt.nz, and any other careers-related products that are transitioned into this team over time.
- Define the goals and create the visions for the lifetime of the product, and makes decisions based on the future needs as well as immediate needs.
- Working closely with the team (including any external vendors) around priorities, the vision for the product, decision making and ensure the team have what they need to be able to work effectively
- Leading the planning of product release plans and setting expectations for delivery of new functionalities

You will be responsible for supporting the Manager - Careers. We are seeking someone who is able to work autonomously and work across the business to build a network of collaborative relationships to deliver the Teams workplan. You will bring the following:'
- 5 plus years' relevant industry experience in product ownership, management, or similar role within a product lifecycle
- Experience with AGILE and/or KANBAN, managing priorities within an overall roadmap
- Experience and confidence in meeting with and managing external stakeholders
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- A passion for delivering customer centric products.

The salary range for this position starts from $121,148 up to $142,527 depending on demonstrable skills and experience
