Salary Range: $ 95,972 - $ 128,391 + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga
This role is permanent, based in Wellington. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Executive and Government Relations, you'll work in a high performing team that supports and advises the Chief Executive, manages the relationship with the Office of the Minister of Statistics and leads on machinery of government matters. You'll lead on Official Information Act requests, parliamentary questions, select committee responses, and other parliamentary and ministerial processes. You will also be the point person for a business group, working closely with senior leadership to ensure high quality advice is provided to the Chief Executive and Minister. We see you bringing a can-do attitude, and a focus on high-quality delivery to the role and team.
This role would suit someone who can show:
- Proven experience in the management of Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, select Committee responses, and other parliamentary and ministerial processes.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to build relationships and influence, and confidently engage with a wide range of individuals and groups across an organisation, in other government departments and with key external stakeholders.
- Good understanding what high quality advice looks like and an ability to translate and present complex issues in clear and concise language.
- A willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability
