Mō te tūranga / About the role

We are seeking an Emergency Specialist to work in our Taupō Hospital. You will be a part of a small competent and supportive team which provide 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000. You will also have the support of other medical staff such as nurses, medical students and junior resident doctors.

Mō koe / About you

Use your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat your patient in ED, through to discharge or stabilise and transfer patients to the Secondary/Tertiary Hospitals when required. You’ll be within 3 months of obtaining your Emergency Medicine qualification and or hold/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Awhe utu / Salary range

$ 142,000 to $ 267,980 pro-rated to hours worked plus Senior Medical Officer allowances.
