Clinical Psychologist for South Community Mental Health Team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Wellington Community

Location: Wellington Community

Contract  Permanent Part Time (0.8 FTE) Monday to Friday

 About the Role 

This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team and holds responsibility for clinical psychology support to the team, particularly through individual & group-based assessment and treatment, consultation, supervision, formulation and assistance with programs that enhance continuous quality improvement.

The South community mental health team is a friendly supportive team, with a recognition that enjoying our mahi enhances our service delivery. We have a range of clinical skills and personalities that mean you can find your place with us. Covering the Southern and Eastern suburbs of wellington affords us a diverse caseload of clients with equally diverse needs. We strive to provide a service that fits the range of needs we encounter and puts the person at the centre of what we do.

About you 

  • Registration in the Clinical Scope of Psychology
  • Proven experience in working with highly complex client presentations.
  • Experience/training in multiple therapeutic/assessment approaches.
  • Experience of stepped care/management of referrals for psychological therapies. 
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision to others. 
  • Experience of undertaking quality improvement initiatives relevant to clinical psychology.
