The Kidz First Child Development Team (CDT) is looking for a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our friendly and dynamic team. We work closely with children aged 2 ½ -16 years with a variety of diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, autism, global developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, chromosomal abnormalities, and spina bifida.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat children with a range of neurodevelopmental and physical conditions
  • Work closely with whaanau and collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, and Nurses to provide holistic care
  • Help children reach their full potential through engaging and innovative therapy interventions

As the ideal candidate you will have:

  • Interest in Paediatrics and desire to learn new skills within the paediatric setting
  • Excellent handling/ facilitation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with whaanua, peers, internal and external agencies
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills
  • The ability to work independently, but also as part of a wider team

Essential:

  • New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current practising certificate
  • Recent paediatric clinical experience
  • Relevant clinical experience and knowledge of physiotherapy practice in neurological rehabilitation, preferably paediatric
  • An understanding of health disability and illness issues and the services available
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full, clean drivers licence
