Clinical Team Member- Aronui Ora (Maternal Mental Health) at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

         Are you a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with a current APC?

         Bring your clinical mental health expertise and become a part of our team at Aronui Ora (Perinatal Mental Health).

         Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

         About the Role

Aronui Ora is a specialist adult mental health service that offers mental health care during pregnancy and early parenthood (the first 12 months of an infants life). 

Experience the rewards of working within our specialist perinatal mental health team, Aronui Ora - an exciting and rewarding area of mental health requiring advanced clinical skills in relation to adults, infants and the parent-infant relationship.

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions, including group work. This is a dynamic and varied role that also includes triage, acute assessment, liaison with maternity services and NGOs. There is a case management component to this generic clinical role.  Aronui Ora has access to specialised respite and inpatient services and managing admissions to these areas would also be part of the day-to-day role. About you

We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.

  • Ideally you will have 4 5 years post-graduate experience in a community mental health setting.

  • Experience working within perinatal mental health would be an advantage.

  • Experience working with people presenting acutely would be an advantage as would having a DAO warrant, as we provide acute assessment and treatment during business hours

  • You must be a NZ registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC.

  • A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community-based role.
