About the Role

Are you a CAMHS clinician looking for a role that offers clinical variety, a fast pace, and opportunities to further develop your assessment, risk management, and brief intervention skills?

The Kari Centre is seeking mental health clinicians (Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists or Child Psychotherapists) to join our Core Assessment and Treatment Teams. In this role, you will provide initial mental health assessments, crisis responses, and therapeutic interventions, delivered both individually and in group settings.

You will work with children, young people, and their families, supporting a wide range of mental health presentations within a community-based outpatient service. We welcome applicants to outline their specific areas of interest and expertise in their cover letter.

In this role, you will:

• Complete comprehensive mental health assessments
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Contribute to multidisciplinary formulation, care planning, and decision-making

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting
• Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills
• Confidence working within fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environments
• Current New Zealand professional registration and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, or Child Psychotherapist)
• A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
