About Us

The Early Psychosis Intervention Team (EPI) is a youth-focused, assertive outreach, community mental health team. We work intensively with young people and their families to provide a variety of age appropriate interventions from the acute phase of psychosis through to recovery.

About the Role

We are seeking an occupational therapist with experience in mental health who would like to join a dedicated and supportive team working with young people recovering from psychosis.

We are an assertive outreach, community based multidisciplinary team working with young people and their families, providing interventions from the acute phase of psychosis through to recovery.

You will provide OT assessments and interventions to a limited number of service users.

About You

Requirements for the role:

  • Professional Registration in New Zealand
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • A desire to work with children, youth and their families who have complex mental health issues.

Preferred:

  • Skills in crisis intervention and recovery planning are essential
  • There will be an opportunity to take part in therapeutic group work. 
  • Experience in using various media and tools to engage and sustain treatment with children, young people and their families.
  • A Post Graduate qualification in Child and Youth mental health and/or recognised training in an evidence-based intervention for Child and Youth mental health presentations.
