About the Role
We are seeking an experienced dynamic, skilled, and fast thinking Physiotherapist with a passion for working in the Emergency Care Department (ED) and Admissions & Diagnostic Unit (ADU) to lead the ED physiotherapy team within the acute inpatient services at North Shore Hospital, Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā.
This is a full-time permanent role, in which you will be working alongside an established inter-disciplinary team providing early assessment, discharge planning and interventions to patients through a patient centred approach.
This role will complement our strong team of acute medical, surgical and orthopaedic physiotherapists and will provide an opportunity to work alongside our clinical leaders, other senior clinicians and clinical coaches. You will share your leadership skills by leading, mentoring and fostering clinical and service development within our team.

About the Team/Service/ Location

About you
- New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC
- 5+ years relevant inpatient experience, in particular recent ED/ADU experience
- Strong teaching, communication, leadership and coaching skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy
- Experience in service development and quality improvement projects
- Effective leadership and people skills
- Strong role model with advanced communication skills
- Excellent assessment and time management skills
- Commitment to achieving the ED/ADU national wait times of less than 6 hours target
- Experience working with older adults within emergency department and acute inpatient environment
- Experience with leadership/senior roles in the past or present
