About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for motivated Physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team with a focus on delivering high-quality physiotherapy input across the 7 days.

We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to provide vital 7-day physiotherapy coverage. Please note that this role requires regular weekend work, operating on one of the following fixed shift patterns:

• Wednesday Saturday (includes every Saturday)
• Sunday Wednesday (includes every Sunday)

With penal rates applying to the weekend component, these 4-day rosters are remunerated at close to 0.98FTE.

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Provide expert cardiorespiratory and critical care physiotherapy services in Critical Care Complex over weekend shifts (Saturdays and/or Sundays).
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Prioritise workforce diversity and equitable health outcomes by supporting Māori and Pacific practitioners within the critical care setting.

About You

• Registered Physiotherapist with experience or keen interest in critical care and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.

• At least 6 years post-graduation physiotherapy experience, ideally 3 years within ICU/HDU areas

• Confident working autonomously in a fast-paced critical care environment.
• Commitment to improving health equity for Māori and Pacific peoples through culturally responsive care and support.
• Excellent communicator and team player, able to work collaboratively across disciplines and regions.
• Available and willing to work the weekend shifts.
