The Digital Services | Te Pūnaha Matihiko branch leads digital strategy and capability, enabling customer-centred digital services that lift digital maturity across Te Tari Taiwhenua and the wider public sector. The role | Te tūnga

As the Manager of Desktop and Office Productivity, you will lead a team of technical specialists and developing support staff to deliver and operate our modern desktop and office productivity environment. This includes end-user computing, Techshop operations, and our Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint.

You'll set the direction for how we manage devices, IT assets, and associated services such as meeting room technology, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and user-centred. Working closely with service delivery managers, projects, and vendors, you'll help deliver new and existing technologies such as device and site rollouts, while ensuring day-to-day operations meet agreed service levels and KPIs.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

  • Proven experience leading technical teams in IT support or end-user computing environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern workplace technologies, including Microsoft 365 and desktop platforms
  • Ability to establish and embed best practice for desktop environments, IT assets, and productivity tools
  • Experience working with projects and vendors to deliver technology changes and improvements
  • A service-focused mindset, with experience delivering against KPIs and improving operational performance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop people and work across teams

The appointing range for this role $117,734 - $130,815, with the potential to appoint higher depending on level of experience.
