The role | Te tūnga

The Manager Information Management provides enterprise-level leadership and strategic oversight of the Department's information management function. You will champion the safe, efficient, and intelligent use of information, leveraging modern digital tools to unlock value and ensure compliance.

Leading a high-impact function, you'll drive the modernisation of information management services, develop new processes and service models, and transition system and platform changes into business-as-usual operations. You'll work across the organisation and with senior stakeholders to redesign services that respond to changing business needs and support future-focused ways of working.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

  • Proven experience leading an information management function at a strategic, enterprise level
  • Strong people leadership capability, with experience leading and developing teams
  • Demonstrated success modernising information management through digital platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and enterprise content management systems
  • Public sector experience, including engaging with senior leaders and Ministers
  • Deep understanding of information management legislation, standards, and best practice in a public service context
  • Sound judgement and the ability to navigate complex, sensitive, or ambiguous issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance

The appointing range for this role $129,271 - $143,634, with the potential to appoint higher depending on level of experience.
