Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Our Commercial Delivery team within Transport Services provides end-to-end operational, planning and delivery support to facilitate the achievement of organisational and management objectives. We lead the design and implementation of best practice commercial management business improvement and provide commercial support to for NZTA's Transport Services portfolio.
As Risk & Schedule Specialist you will support Transport Services projects and provide programme-level strategies, planning, scheduling and reporting, financial control, innovation and improvement.
As Risk & Schedule Specialist you will:
- provide leadership and oversight across the key programme scheduling and risk workstreams through the systems design and infrastructure delivery and
- be a key interface with NZTA teams to ensure that delivery is fully integrated with the organisation's strategies, plans and processes.
The role will be aligned to NZTA RoNS and RoRS projects, and the establishment of risk and scheduling tools for these projects ranging in size and scale from $100m to $4b.

Appointment base salary is from $109,408 to $121,564, depending on relevant knowledge and experience. Along with our other'benefits,'we offer 5 weeks annual leave, and a Life, Income Protection and Critical-illness Insurance scheme available for all permanent employees.
Ko koe tēnei | About you
Ideally you will have:
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of effective risk and scheduling strategies, principles and practices for large scale projects
- Experience in infrastructure (transport preferred), with strong and demonstrable business acumen
- Experience using risk and scheduling tools e.g. ARM "Active Risk Manager", P6/MS Project, Power BI
- Have sound knowledge and ability in risk adjusted scheduling
- Experience working with Cost Estimators and Designers through design development phases.
- The ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Influencing skills, with the ability to manage external consultants in delivering robust risk management and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly effective planning and organisational skills
