The role | Te tūnga
We are hiring multiple unit manager roles, fixed term until 2027 and permanent roles within the Insights & Statistics group.
As Unit Manager, you’re responsible for the people leadership of a team of up to 18 analysts. Working closely with your Statistical Production Lead, you’ll lead a team of experts focused on the successful delivery of quarterly, six-monthly, annual, and cyclic 2–3 yearly data releases, supporting customised data requests, and internal and external customer data needs. You'll also oversee the scoping and development of new or improved official statistics in collaboration with other teams across the organisation.
As part of the Insights and Statistics leadership team, mutual support, shared problem-solving, and cross-unit cooperation are not just encouraged, but expected. You'll contribute to a culture where leaders back each other, share expertise, and work together to deliver for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Salary: $138,071 - $186,902 + superannuation. Salary is determined on the level of experience of candidates
