About the Role
Were looking for a Registered Psychologist to work in our Child Protection Service in Te Tai Tokerau. This role will provide efficient and effective services within the Child Protection and Gateway Service. As the Psychologist, you will provide a high standard of clinical practice to provide support for children and young people (up to 13 years) who have experienced abuse or neglect.
You will join a multi-disciplinary team within a supportive and welcoming environment, based off-site from the main hospital. Our collaborative culture focuses on building strong, meaningful working relationships. Travel across the region is required.

About the Service and Location
We are a region-wide service operating across Northland, committed to providing exceptional Child Health Services to communities throughout the area. We are dedicated to addressing health inequities for Māori and creating a positive impact on the lives of children.
Our Psychology Service offers diagnostic assessments for children with neurodevelopmental conditions and therapeutic support for those affected by chronic health issues impacting their development and wellbeing. We highly value teamwork and appreciate the unique contributions of each team member in enhancing the patient journey.

About you
To be successful in this position, you need to have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member within an MDT framework.
- Registered Psychologist with the NZ Psychologists Board, or equivalent
- Clinical experience with children and adolescents
- Proficient in evidence-based practice
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Motivated and committed to providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate services
