About the Role

As a successful Clinical Records Team Leader, you will play a key role in working with our clinical records staff to provide a clinical records management service which includes swift and timely records retrieval, filing, dispatching, storing and or approved disposal.

Day to day you will be working with a dynamic diverse team where patients and records always come first. You will be managing and overseeing rostering and workflow to ensure Clinical Records deliver required critical clinical support services daily.

You will lead by example and champion behaviour, create the tools and resources the teams require for them to be successful in providing a best-in-class service whilst identifying, developing and working with stakeholders to utilise data to create, deploy and implement initiatives that ultimately help lift performance across the teams and deliver improved outcomes to our clinical front line.

About the Service

The Clinical Records teams consist of two roles, Clerks and Filing Clerks.

Clerks provide a 24/7 7 day a week clinical support service (Monday - Sunday) and Filing Clerks operate Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am to 8.30pm with one Filing Clerk duty supporting a Saturday and Sunday work pattern between 10.30am and 7pm. Note: these hours are subject to change.

The wider Digitisation and Records Management service not only provide a critical clinical support service 24/7 and records management of the patients physical chart, but we also operate a quality and digitisation hub, deliver health information disclosure outcomes and records advisory services.

Records must be reliably and readily available whilst meeting our obligations as set out in The Public Records Act 2005, Archives NZ standards and guidelines and all/any policies and procedures.

You will work across varying work shifts/duties that support all clinical records services and teams.

 

About you

We are seeking a person-directed, values-driven Team Lead to join our Digitisation and Records Management service, Clinical Records.

You are determined and dedicated to reliable, consistent and results driven customer focussed outcomes.

Demonstrated experience leading teams within information and records management, electronic records management, data integrity and quality with evidenced education, is essential to be considered for the role along with working knowledge of computer-based systems such as Microsoft Office suite (intermediate or advances excel skills), and/or software related directly to in-care hospital environments.

You must have a commitment to work to a remarkably high quality and standard, evidence and demonstrate you understand how data drives outcomes, support on-going creation of and/or utilisation of daily performance and business metrics that drive improved productivity outcomes for our teams, our patients and our stakeholders.


Applicants will need to clearly display strengths with managing multiple tasks, conflicting priorities, attention to detail and the ability to adapt at a moments notice. You must have created, managed or administered rosters in alignment with collective agreement workforces and your command of the English language must be clear and concise.
