Looking for your next challenge in recruitment? Ready to hit the ground running in a busy, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing and supportive Recruitment team in a pivotal coordination role. We are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-focused Recruitment Coordinator to provide critical support across a large and diverse healthcare workforce.

At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and are committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role

As a Recruitment Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of recruitment services across Health New Zealand Canterbury and the Westcoast. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping processes running smoothly.

You'll work alongside Recruitment Advisors, hiring managers, and candidates, supporting the recruitment process from job request through to offer. A significant focus of the role is recruitment reporting and workforce data. You'll help maintain reporting accuracy, gather updates from recruiters, monitor recruitment activity, and ensure information is current, reliable, and meaningful.

You will also coordinate job requests, prepare pre employment documentation, manage pre-employment checks, and provide administrative support across a broad range of recruitment activities.

No two days are the same, and we're looking for someone who can confidently juggle competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process across multiple portfolios.
  • Maintain and coordinate recruitment reporting and workforce data.
  • Prepare and issue offer letters and employment documentation.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding activities.
  • Monitor recruitment workflows and ensure recruitment systems remain accurate and up to date.
  • Follow up with Recruitment Advisors and hiring managers on outstanding actions.
  • Assist with interview coordination and scheduling.
  • Provide administrative and project support to Recruitment Advisors and Team Leaders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help enhance recruitment processes.

You will join a genuinely supportive, collaborative, and high-performing recruitment team based in Christchurch.

Our team is passionate about delivering great recruitment outcomes while creating a positive and enjoyable workplace culture. We work hard, support one another, celebrate successes, share knowledge freely, and enjoy tackling recruitment challenges together.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced recruiters, gain exposure to a wide variety of workforce groups, and be part of a team that genuinely values contribution, initiative, and teamwork.
