Programme Coordinator at Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake , Wellington

About the role | Mo te mahi

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to provide consistent and reliable coordination and administrative support across multiple projects and initiatives within NHC Toka Tū Ake’s Enterprise Delivery and Change programme. Working closely with programme and project managers, finance, assurance functions, and delivery partners, you will help ensure programme activity is visible, well‑managed, and progressing as planned.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate programme activities to ensure work across multiple projects is aligned and progressing
  • Maintain programme schedules, planners, registers, and delivery artefacts
  • Track actions, tasks, and dependencies, ensuring progress is visible and up to date
  • Support governance and reporting cycles by coordinating inputs and maintaining accurate records
  • Act as a central coordination point across project teams, programme leadership, and corporate functions
  • Provide meeting support, minute‑taking, action tracking, and general programme administration
  • Support financial administration activities, including invoicing, purchase orders, and receipting

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Proven experience supporting multiple projects, programmes, or portfolios in a coordination or administration role
  • Sound understanding of programme or project coordination practices, including scheduling, reporting, and governance support
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to information and document management
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across delivery and corporate teams
  • A proactive, reliable approach, demonstrating initiative, resilience, and a positive working style
