Registered Nurse for Mental Health Learning Advisor at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury, Mental Health Services (Kensington Centre)

Mental Health - Learning Advisor 

  • Role for a Registered Nurse - Supporting Mental Health and Addiction
  • Based on the Timaru Hospital Campus
  • Permanent 0.5 FTE
  • Monday to Friday Hours
About the Role

The Learning Hub Advisor will work across the organisation with a predominant focus on training and development for the Mental Health and Addiction Service Team , in the support of clinical excellence and contribution to improved client health outcomes.  This role also includes education support to Non-Government Organisations funded by Health New Zealand South Canterbury.

About you

We are seeking Registered Nurse applicants (registered in New Zealand with an APC) who have a sound understanding of the Mental Health and Addition Service and experience in this setting.

Ideally the person will have a post graduate qualification or working towards this with previous experience in an education role desirable. Other success factors for this role includes;

  • Someone who is a professional, a respected leader and role model, with proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop others.
  • Able to be a champion for and promote the profession of nursing including PDRP/QLP/Merit Steps.
  • Be approachable, adaptable and able to work towards creating a positive learning and development culture to support service priorities.
  • The right to work in New Zealand

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant Nursing collective professional salary band and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
