We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to lead a dynamic team responsible for providing information to customers in compliance with the Privacy and Official Information Acts. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining a highly capable team through strong people management, support, and coaching.
You'll manage workflow, ensure quality standards, and provide strategic leadership in risk management and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes while embodying the Ministry's mission, vision, and values. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
Key requirements of the role include:
- Experience in leading and developing customer focussed teams
- Relevant practical experience in coaching and systems thinking would be an advantage
- Understanding and working knowledge of the Privacy and Official Information Acts
- Proven ability in performing a range of tasks under competing demands
- Ability to manage relationships at all levels
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $106,416 and $117,782 dependent on experience.
