Registered Nurse, Regional Oncology at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Waitematā, Auckland

Over the past year, the New Zealand Government has increased the medicines budget by more than $600 million over four years. This funding will pay for 33 new cancer medicines and 33 new noncancer medicines. Health NZ has also received extra funding to make sure it has the staff and resources needed to provide these medicines, including in community and rural areas. This means we are now growing a new service at Waitematā as part of Regional Oncology

We are therefore pleased to offer Registered Nurse opportunities in Medical Oncology delivering high-quality care to patients across Waitematā.

About the Team/Service/ Location

These positions will be based primarily at North Shore Hospital.

As a Registered Nurse delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT), youll be part of a dynamic, collaborative, multidisciplinary medical oncology team, providing patient-focused care, contributing to service development, quality improvement, and mentoring junior staff. You will bring clinical expertise, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for equitable, evidence-based cancer care. About you

To be considered we will need the following:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Have post-registration experience in Oncology or Medical Oncology is preferred
  • Bringing your expertise to support patients and whānau
