About the Role

We have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual wishing to join our Pharmacy team to support our Pharmacy services. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated New Zealand qualified Clinical Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive Pharmacy team based at Rotorua and Taupo Hospital. This pivotal role requires exemplary clinical knowledge to ensure safe and effective medication management for complex patients. You will be instrumental in collaborative practice, working alongside doctors and nurses to drive quality improvement and patient safety on the unit. Your expertise will support general clinical and operational pharmacy duties on a rostered basis (including ward and dispensary coverage).

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team is split across two sites (Rotorua and Taupo) and consists of 20 staff members: 13xpharmacists, 1xPharmacy intern and 6x technicians. Lots of variety and opportunities to take advantage of to help keep yourself stimulated.

About you

  • Registered Pharmacist (with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand) with current APC. 
  • Flexible team player, with a diligent approach to your work.
  • Problem-solver with a positive `can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, be consistent, reliable and accurate in your work.
  • Very high standard of ethical and professional practice.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Good sense of humor 
  • Willing to share their experience and expertise with the rest of the team
