• Fixed Term until August 2027, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high quality, recovery focused care within the Community Mental Health and Addiction Service. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, provide case management, and support tangata whaiora to achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing.

This is a diverse and autonomous community based role where you will manage a caseload, build strong therapeutic relationships, and work closely with whānau and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care. You will contribute to positive health outcomes through evidence based practice, health education, advocacy, and ongoing support, while promoting independence and recovery.

You will also have opportunities to support the development of colleagues and students, participate in clinical supervision, and contribute to service improvement initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided across the service.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Community Mental Health and Addiction Service (South) provides specialist assessment, treatment, and support to tangata whaiora and whānau across the Hastings community. You will join a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering compassionate, culturally responsive, and person centred care.

About you

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
• Recent community mental health and addiction nursing experience
• A postgraduate qualification in Mental Health and Addictions
• Strong assessment, communication, and case management skills
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes
• Excellent time management skills and a proactive, person centred approach to care
