Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are looking for several excellent Senior Business Analysts to join our Frontline Technology Systems Upgrade (FTSU) Programme. The FTSU programme has been established to replace current legacy systems with modern platforms that will improve frontline services and enable better outcomes for tamariki and whānau.

As one of a team of Senior Business Analysts, you'll collaborate to design future-focused processes and systems to make it easier for our kaimahi to work productively, spending more time working directly with children, their families and communities. This is your chance to contribute to safer, more nurturing communities while enjoying flexible working opportunities, supportive leadership, and a collaborative environment.

The role will sit within the Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO) team and be connected to a community of Business Analysts. You'll be embedded in the FTSU Programme team, with its own programme structure.  As a Senior Business Analyst, you are also expected to contribute to the improvement of the practice and lead, coach, guide, and mentor other Business Analysts.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Design business processes and requirements to support frontline staff in delivering essential services.
  • Engage stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews to identify needs and define solutions.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory obligations.
  • Model detailed business processes (Level 3-4) while ensuring consistency with higher-level frameworks (Level 0-2).
  • Support solution delivery phases, including build, testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What will you bring

You'll bring a blend of analytical expertise, process design capability, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be comfortable working in complex environments and contributing to the delivery of impactful change. To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience in large-scale technology upgrades or process redesigns within complex organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and clarify ambiguities.
  • Advanced skills in process modelling and stakeholder engagement techniques such as workshops and interviews.
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to knowledge sharing and teamwork.
  • Experienced in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence (or similar tools) to manage and trace requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Nōu te rourou | What's in it for you

We offer a vibrant and supportive team, flexible work options and a genuine commitment to wellbeing. We welcome diversity and are committed to working in an inclusive and respectful way. This is your opportunity to apply your skills and experience to the wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi.

You will also be connected to a community of Business Analysts, with a focus on learning and growth.
