Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
As an Analyst or Senior Analyst in the team, you will have the opportunity to work across several of the topics the team is responsible for. This is a great opportunity to understand public finance through a system lens. In this role, you will work with a range of key internal and external stakeholders, operating with trust and autonomy. You will work closely with senior representatives from other agencies and interact frequently with the Minister of Finance's office.
As a Senior Analyst, you will lead high-profile projects and provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

This important work takes a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference and getting things done.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 18 months’ career experience for Analyst applications;
- A minimum of five years’ career experience for Senior Analyst applications;
- A strong analytical foundation in finance, economics, policy work or similar;
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deliver clear and impactful analysis and advice to decision-makers; and
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in public finance or microeconomics would be an advantage, but is not essential.

- Analyst: $91,339.30 - $107,458.00 per annum / Senior Analyst: $127,621.55 - $150,143.00 per annum
Appointments will be made at a salary point within the relevant range, taking into account the successful candidate's skills, experience, and internal relativities.
