Court Registry Officer, Huntly District Court / Central Region
Permanent, Full Time
We are looking for some talented individuals to come join our District Court as a Court Registry Officer in Huntly.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As a Court Registry Officer, you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court. Each day is different, and you will be required to think on your feet and be comfortable multi-tasking. You will be able to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary.
Other responsibilities will be
- Liaise with numerous stakeholders, incl Judges, Police, Corrections and lawyers
- Learn, interpret and understand legalisation.
- Utilise Deputy Registrar responsibilities.
- Excel in customer service, case management and court taking

You will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, quality decision-making, be solutions-focused and have the personal confidence and resilience to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
To be successful, you will need to be:
- Detail-orientated and observant - the court has many different processes, and case information needs to be accurate.
- Self-aware - our participants are unique, and you will be confident working, individually and as a team, across various situations.
- Able to multi-task - some of our processes are repetitive, so you will be able to manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quickly.
- Resilient - As a Court Registry Officer, you might work on sensitive cases, sometimes at high volume.
You will need a full New Zealand drivers licence as you will also travel to other courts

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794 The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
