The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Māori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Māori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks. This includes functions to set standards and targets for water services and water infrastructure.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Our Senior Project Coordinator support the Director Technical Advice and Analytics to effectively and efficiently deliver on two projects. The first, implementing the revised Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules (DWQAR) for large supplies, and the second, to strengthen data policies and practices.

The Senior Project Coordinator will:
- Support the Director Technical Advice and Analytics to deliver project milestones on time and within scope
- Actively ensure the projects stay on schedule by tracking progress against milestones, following up on key deliverables, and escalating any complex issues
- Coordinate project documentation, risk registers, and mitigation planning
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide operational and administrative support, including meeting coordination and business communications
