Job Description

The Adult Community Therapy Service has the important responsibility of delivering allied health services to adults in the community. We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is passionate about providing client centred intervention within an inter-disciplinary allied health team to join us!

The community teams are working in a Hub and Spoke model. Your work location will therefore be at one or more of several Community Teams’ locations including the Princess Margaret Hospital, and various spoke locations, including Burwood Hospital, Longhurst Medical Centre, and Rangiora Hospital.

This is a busy role where you are guaranteed a varied case load to manage and you’ll enjoy working with clients and their support people at home and in the community. You will bring excellent assessment, technical and problem solving skills.

You will have outstanding skills in working within teams and maintaining relationships with service providers in the community. You have had experience working with adults with complex needs including a variety of neurological conditions.

To be successful, you must be an experienced and NZ Registered Physiotherapist. Enable NZ Level 1 Wheeled Mobility and Postural Management (WMPM1) accreditation would be an advantage but is not essential.

We have some flexibility with the arrangement of the hours, but the role is on a part time basis of 32 hours per week.

Enquiries should be directed to Heather Ewing, Recruitment Specialist, email: heather.ewing@cdhb.health.nz.

Applications are only accepted online so please visit our website at www.careers.cdhb.govt.nz to complete an application and download a position description.
