Family Court Co-ordinator (Part-Time), New Plymouth District Court

This is a 3 day a week part time permanent position with a degree of flexibility around when those hours are worked each week.

You're calm, resilient and great when it comes to dealing with a diverse range of people with ease - and that's why you'll achieve impressive things in this role.  You'll get the variety you are looking for and will have the opportunity to develop your talents.  Thanks to your relevant background and impressive organisational skills you'll promote and contribute toward the effective functioning of the Family Court.

You'll have well developed assessment skills and a good working knowledge of some Family Court legislation and perhaps you'll also have some tried and tested counselling or mediation skills.

You'll enjoy working as part of our team at the New Plymouth District Court and have no trouble prioritising a workflow, as you tackle duties such as quick assessment and co-ordinating arrangements for counselling, mediation, appointment of lawyer for children, and obtaining specialist reports.  You'll also maintain networks with local groups such as Family violence services, and provide community education.
