An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly experienced, dynamic and innovative professionals to join our fantastic team in the beautiful Bay of Plenty-Waiariki region.
We have two fulltime permanent senior roles that will report directly to the Director of Education, Bay of Plenty-Waiariki and will be part of the regional leadership team. Each role will be located in our Rotorua or Tauranga office.
Strategic Māori Advisor Role
The Strategic Advisor will provide strategic advice to the Director of Education and support them to lead engagements with iwi and Māori stakeholders. One of their key priorities will be to work within the Community of Learning | Kāhui Ako (CoL) environment, particularly focused on iwi ability to support achievement challenges and enable CoL’s to deliver on their plans.
The role also provides leadership across the region to help the organisation accelerate Māori educational achievement, seeking equity outcomes and the promotion of Māori identity, language and culture.
Sector Enablement and Support
Sector Enablement and Support (SE&S) is the key interface between the ministry and education providers. It is our role to ensure that sector leaders and the communities in which they operate have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that will allow our children and young people to reach their full potential.
We give effect to government and ministry policy and support education and community leadership within a self managing system, to bring about the positive changes required to lift aspiration, and raise educational achievement for all.
