The Ministry of Education’s People and Capability team is transforming with the implementation of a new operating model. As such, we are looking for the best talent in New Zealand to be part of our journey.
This role works in a team comprising a Strategic Business Partner and another HR Advisor supporting two of the Ministry’s groups – Education Infrastructure Service and Parents, Whanau and Communities in addition to helping out across the wider People Capability team as needed.
It’s all about adding value to the business by providing meaningful, timely and effective HR advice and support on all People Capability practices.
You will ensure that Managers are equipped with the right advice and tools to make decisions on day-to-day people matters ensuring favourable outcomes and proactive management of risk. This will include actively contributing to the development of our people leaders.
This is a true generalist opportunity, full of variety, where you will be involved across all aspects of the “employee life cycle” in providing advice and guidance around:
On top of this, you will be involved in change projects as well as having the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, process, projects and management tools.
You will have broad HR experience and be looking for an opportunity to be part of a changing and agile environment. You will have worked directly with customers providing advice across a wide range of HR and employment issues.
