Job Description

As part of David Seymour's office, you'll bring your political nous and personable nature to a role that's varied and rewarding. This position based in Epsom, offers real variety and insight into New Zealand's political process.

This is no ordinary role - you will provide high quality support to David Seymour by focusing on services to constituents in your community who may come in to the office, phone you for advice or need someone to listen to their issues. The administrative side of things will include anything from meeting and greeting visitors, to dealing with correspondence to running large scale mail merges.

Strong customer service is required for this role to support case management, advocacy and general help. Your empathetic manner, resilience and unflappable personality will mean all constituents are treated fairly and respectfully.

The other focus to the role will look at expanding community networks by creating opportunities for events and further engagement within the community.

This role is for 40 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours may be required. This is an events-based, fixed-term role linked to the term of the Member of Parliament.

This role is due to start in January/February.
