We are currently looking for a media savvy person to fill the role of Private Secretary Media/Advisory in the office of Hon Louise Upston.  If you value the chance to support the Executive Government, this is the role for you.

This role will give you the opportunity to provide high level advice directly to the Minister across the full range of her portfolio responsibilities: Women, Land Information, Local Government and Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity giving you an insight into the workings of the Executive Government of today.

All applicants must have a sound understanding of existing government and public service protocols and processes, good analysis and problem solving skills as well as strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.  The nature of the role requires good knowledge of political processes and political nous. This role interacts with a variety of people, organisations and sectors so the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships is a must.

Experience or understanding of Parliamentary protocols, systems and processes will be an advantage.
